The Marketing Department Learns How to Write With Style

Geneva Hospitality’s Marketing Assistant Rose Wolf recently attended a Style Writing Seminar in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This seminar was a two day writing class where Rose learned about the different styles and formats of writing.

In general, style writing has to do with writers learning about the conventions of writing and how to use them as effectively as possible in order to get their message across.

In this class, Rose wrote an article on a marketing event which she attended that took place at The Cove of Lake Geneva in order to showcase her writing. Upon submission, she was praised by her instructor on her style of marketing writing.

The focus of the class was centered upon different writing style preferences in the office. The conclusion drawn was that businesses need to set style preference guidelines for all writers in the office to follow. This will result in messages being sent out in the same tone and will help in effectively getting messages across to audiences.

After returning from the seminar, Rose shared all the information she learned and handouts she received with the marketing department in order to set style preference guidelines within the department.
