Enjoy The 2011 National Snow Sculpting Competition and Winterfest During Your Stay at The Cove of Lake Geneva

Looking for some winter fun this season? Head to The Cove of Lake Geneva and take part in the annual Winterfest celebration and enjoy the National Snow Sculpting Competition in downtown Lake Geneva this February 2nd – 6th, 2011.

Monday, January 31st and Tuesday, February 1st the 9-foot snow blocks for the event will be being built in the Riviera Park. Following the building of the blocks, Wednesday, February 2nd through Friday, February 4th the National Snow Sculpting teams will begin their snow sculpting in the Riviera Park from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm daily.

Saturday, February 5th starts the official Winterfest celebration in the Riviera Park. Sculpting of the snow sculptures ends at 11:00 am and from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm viewers can vote for their favorite snow sculpture. Ballots will be available both in the Winterfest Souvenir Program Book and on site. The ballot box will be located in the Riviera Park.

From 10:00 am to 4:00 pm visitors will enjoy entertainment, food, and refreshments, along with children's sculpting, wagon rides, helicopter rides, tethered hot air balloon rides, and sleigh on wheel rides.

The day will also include children’s entertainment in the Riviera Marketplace:

• 11:00 am - The WOZ-Music, Magic
• 12:00 pm - Tom Stanfield - Sing-a-longs.
• 1:00 pm - The WOZ-Music, Magic
• 2:00 pm - Tom Stanfield - Sing-a-longs.

At 3:00 pm the public will be invited to watch the US National Snow Sculpting Awards Presentation.

On Sunday, February 6th visitors will enjoy viewing the finished snow sculptures all day as well as entertainment, food, and refreshments from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm, and the day’s entertainment will include a blue grass and country band in the Riviera Park.
