Book You Stay at The Cove of Lake Geneva for Winterfest 2012

Looking for some winter fun this season? Head to The Cove of Lake Geneva and take part in the annual Winterfest celebration and enjoy the National Snow Sculpting Competition in downtown Lake Geneva this February 2nd – 6th, 2012.

Monday, January 30th and Tuesday, January 31st the 9-foot snow blocks for the event will be being built in Riviera Park. Following the building of the blocks, Wednesday, February 1st through Friday, February 3rd the National Snow Sculpting teams will begin their snow sculpting in Riviera Park from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm daily.

Saturday, February 4th starts the official Winterfest celebration in Riviera Park. Sculpting of the snow sculptures ends at 11:00 am, and from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm, viewers can vote for their favorite snow sculpture. Ballots will be available both in the Winterfest Souvenir Program Book and on site. The ballot box will be located in Riviera Park.

From 10:00 am to 4:00 pm visitors will enjoy entertainment, food, and refreshments, along with children's sculpting, wagon rides, helicopter rides, tethered hot air balloon rides, and sleigh on wheel rides.

The day will also include children’s entertainment in the Riviera Marketplace:

• 12:00 pm - Tom Stanfield - Sing-a-longs
• 1:00 pm - The WOZ-Music, Magic
• 2:00 pm - Tom Stanfield - Sing-a-longs

At 3:00 pm the public will be invited to watch the US National Snow Sculpting Awards Presentation.

On Sunday, February 6th visitors will enjoy viewing the finished snow sculptures all day as well as entertainment, food, and refreshments from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm, and the day’s entertainment will include a blue grass and country band in Riviera Park.
